Nutrition Data

We collect the food logs, meal photos, nutrition data, and dietary preferences you provide while using the app.

Usage Data

We automatically collect usage analytics, device information, and interaction data to improve the app experience.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide and maintain the Kalorie service
• Personalize your nutrition tracking experience
• Process food photos through our AI recognition system
• Send relevant notifications and reminders
• Analyze usage patterns to improve the app
• Respond to customer support requests

3. AI Features & Data Processing

Kalorie uses AI models to process food photos and power the AI nutritionist chat feature. Your food photos are processed to identify foods and estimate nutritional content.

We do not use your personal nutrition data to train AI models shared with other users. Your data is used solely to improve your individual experience.

4. Data Security

We implement industry-standard encryption to protect your data:

• At rest: AES-256 encryption
• In transit: TLS 1.3 encryption
• Infrastructure: Hosted on Supabase in SOC 2 Type II certified facilities

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We may share information only in the following circumstances:

• Service providers: Third-party services that help us operate (cloud hosting, analytics)
• Social features: Information you choose to share through social features within the app
• Legal requirements: When required by law or to protect our rights

Kalorie is not designed for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we discover that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly.
